DESCRIPTION:I will describe a spacetime-duality-based approach
to access the spectral statistics of quantum many
-body systems. The approach can be generally appli
ed for systems in discrete time but in the generic
case it can be pushed to the end only with the ai
d of numerical computations. In certain cases\, ho
wever\, it leads to exact analytical results. I wi
ll describe two classes of local quantum circuits
where this can indeed be done: dual-unitary circui
ts and strongly localising circuits. I will show t
hat these two classes of circuit systems can be re
spectively considered minimal realisations of chao
tic and localised quantum many-body systems.
