DESCRIPTION:This talk is about the paper arXiv:1811.12540 [hep
-th]. The modern approach of hydrodynamics is that
of a non-equilibrium EFT\, valid at sufficiently
long times and large distances. Thus\, only correl
ations of conserved quantities are relevant. We wi
ll consider the simplest scenario\, with one conse
rvation law (e.g. energy conservation)\, which lea
ds to the classical diffusion equation at the ther
modynamic limit. We will show how non-linear fluct
uation terms lead to corrections to the diffusion
constant. We will warm up with the stochastic path
integral approach. Then\, we will review the EFT
approach that justifies the fluctuation terms from
first principles. Possible physical implications
of our results will be discussed in the end.\n
