DESCRIPTION:Firstly\, a quick derivation of the Kubo formula f
or linear response will be shown. This will then b
e used to formulate an expression for the current
response to an applied EM-field in terms of Greenâ€™
s functions. Through some simple relations the res
ponse can be related to the conductivity and hence
the final step is to solve the integral equation
for the Greenâ€™s function. This method yields the D
rude result via QFT as opposed to through the Bolt
zmann equation.
