The physics of future high energy e+e- colliders place very stringent demands on many aspects of the detectors. The calorimeter systems are particularly challenging and it is essential to approach their design using a more integrated approach than that of earlier experiments. This seminar describes the work carried out in this field by CALICE , the largest R&D collaboration which spans all aspects of calorimetry for ILC and CLIC .

This talk is part of the Particle Physics Seminars series.
