If you have a question about this talk, please contact Prof Ian Kenyon. I will discuss the current physics scope of LHCb and the arguments for its upgrade in the context of the international Flavour Physics Programme. Proposals for the LHCb detector upgrade are also outlined together with an appraisal of the technical issues. Specifics of the possible UK involvement, to be proposed in 2012/2013, are described.
