The ALICE experiment focuses on heavy ion collisions at the CERN LHC , and has collected a considerable quantity of data on Pb-Pb collisions. In this talk, the main new results will be reviewed, and in addition the future plans of the experiment, following the LHC upgrade, will be discussed.
