If you have a question about this talk, please contact Dr Dimitri M Gangardt.

The talk will briefly review recent progress in the field of superconducting quantum devices and discuss some of the goals, the successes and the challenges. Using this to partially motivate our own work, I will then decribe some recent experiments in the Quantum Devices group at Royal Holloway, focussing in particular on exploiting the non-linearity of Josephson junctions as a route to highly sensitive and novel devices.

This talk is part of the Theoretical Physics Seminars series.
