If you have a question about this talk, please contact Matthew Westaway. Partial groups were introduced by Chermak in 2013 and are closely related to the theory of fusion systems. Since then a general theory of partial groups has begun to crystallise. I will introduce some of this theory and then go on to talk about automorphism groups of partial groups. Then I will finish with a discussion of whether one can construct objective partial groups with cyclic automorphism group of odd order. This talk is part of the Algebra seminar series.
