If you have a question about this talk, please contact Prof Ian Kenyon. For High-Luminosity operations, the ATLAS experiment will need to make a series of upgrades to cope with extreme environment, including replacing the entire inner detector with an all-silicon Inner Tracker (ITk). After briefly describing the motivations for and full scale of the ATLAS upgrade, this presentation will focus on the ITk: highlighting the enabling technologies, the drivers for the design, limitations for this and future experiments, and the current status of the project.
