The Charm Content of the Proton

A recent measurement of Z + charm jets by LHCb indicates the possible presence of intrinsic valence-like charm in the proton wave function. The sensitivity of LHCb to parton distribution functions, with a particular emphasis on this measurement, will be summarized.
