If you have a question about this talk, please contact Prof Ian Kenyon. A recent measurement of Z + charm jets by LHCb indicates the possible presence of intrinsic valence-like charm in the proton wave function. The sensitivity of LHCb to parton distribution functions, with a particular emphasis on this measurement, will be summarized. This talk is part of the Particle Physics Seminars series.
