If you have a question about this talk, please contact Dr. Marc Haber. Dr Andrew Edmondson (Ed) from Advanced Research Computing will present an overview of BEAR ’s services, including high performance computing (BlueBEAR HPC , the BEAR Portal for interactive HPC , virtual machines, and the upcoming Baskerville AI Supercomputer), storage, Research Software Engineering, etc. This will include details on the special services available to life science researchers through CaStLeS. He will also talk about some specific uses of virtual machines including running Django and R shiny-server instances. We will introduce Dr Ryan Pepper, who is teaming up with Dr Simon Hartley to provide dedicated RSE support to the CCB and its wider community. There will then be a general Q&A.
