If you have a question about this talk, please contact Lewis Topley. I will discuss ongoing work in the calculation of the decomposition matrices of finite groups of Lie type. Much of what is known in this well-established field relates to unipotent blocks. I will talk about adapting the unipotent methods to the case of quasi-isolated blocks of exceptional groups.
