During the last decade, the IceCube neutrino telescope has steadily observed, for the first time, a flux of high-energy neutrinos of astrophysical origin. Their precise sources, however, are not established yet. Moreover, data analyses of different data samples in terms of an unbroken single power-law flux result in some tension. In this talk, I will discuss the possibility to explain IceCube data by including a contribution from dark matter decays or annihilations. From a more general perspective, I will also comment on how IceCube high-energy neutrino data can constrain dark matter properties.
