Graph boxicity, poset dimension, and their local counterparts

In the first part of the talk we will define the notions of graph boxicity, poset dimension, and their local versions. In the second part we will concentrate on the connection between the local boxicity and the maximal degree of a graph. We will finish with a couple of open questions.
