If you have a question about this talk, please contact Simon Goodwin. Starting with representation theory of symmetric groups, I’ll aim to give an overview of some key ideas used in representation theory. We’ll mainly consider representations of general linear groups and Lie algebras, and plan to finish with recent results on representations of reduced enveloping algebras in my joint work with Thomas and Topley.
