Large Cantor sets as non-Lebesgue sets of Fourier transforms

We will prove the main theorem of the last Analysis Seminar. This will involve a delicate Cantor set and discrete measures whose Fourier transforms approximate the Fourier transform of an interval in a suitably strong L^p sense.
