If you have a question about this talk, please contact Rose Davies. In this talk we deal with a One-Dimensional quantum many particle system and do some sneaky tricks to write a Hamiltonian that describes the low energy modes of the system. It doesn’t rely on linearising around the fermi points and can be done for bosons and fermions equivalently. This talk is part of the PIPS - Postgraduate Informal Physics Seminars series.
