High Pressure Gas TPCs

Reducing the uncertainty on neutrino-nucleus interaction cross-sections is crucial for future oscillation physics. High Pressure Time Projection Chambers (HPTPCs) combine the low detection threshold advantages of gaseous detectors with higher event rates due to a higher density target. Their higher density allows HPTP Cs to be used as neutrino detectors and will allow a new region of kinematic space to be used to constrain neutrino-nucleus interactions. This talk will discuss their uses in future neutrino experiments and describe the prototype HPTPC that has been built in London and tested in the T10 beam facility at CERN .
