If you have a question about this talk, please contact Dr Adrian Burden. If you plan to attend, please register via Eventbrite: https://techentrepreneurshipseminar.eventbrite.co.uk Launched by Philip in 2006, WasteCollection.com was the first fully automated eCommerce for business waste services of its kind in the UK. Taking a very traditional business of collecting rubbish and turning it into a software-as-a-service (SaaS) venture was not without its challenges, and Philip will outline the pitfalls of choosing the wrong focus when trying to grow a profitable technology-based business. Philip is also passionate about environmental sustainability in general and has since founded the green house to offer cleantech services to well known brands. He will also touch on how to really plan for a future in business where waste is a redundant concept. This talk is part of the Metallurgy & Materials β Tech Entrepreneurship Seminar Series series.
