Public key Cryptography based on tropical Algebra was suggested by Grigoriev and Sphilrain. In this talk, I will discuss some public key cryptography especially Stickel’s protocol based on tropical algebra and the cryptanalysis of a tropical version of Stickel’s protocol by Kotov an Ushakov. I will also talk about some modifications of Stickel’s protocol using commuting matrices in tropical algebra and a generalisation attack for our new protocols.

This talk is part of the Postgraduate Algebra Seminar series.
