If you have a question about this talk, please contact Andrea Brini. Superconformal quantum mechanics appears in various compactifications of superconformal field theory and as a possible holographic dual to spacetimes with an AdS_2 factor. I will discuss a maximally supersymmetric conformal quantum mechanics on hyperKähler cones. This leads to problems due to singularities that appear on all non-trivial hyperKähler cones. I will show how to deal with these singularities using the theory of symplectic resolutions, and define a superconformal index given a resolution. This index has several interesting limits that we will discuss. The superconformal index’s (lack of) dependence on the choice of regularisation will be discussed. This talk is part of the Geometry and Mathematical Physics seminar series. ## This talk is included in these lists:- Bham Talks
