If you have a question about this talk, please contact Manjinder Kainth. This talk aims to demonstrate the classical and quantum solutions of two non-central potentials, with successful application of Bohr-Sommerfeld quantisation in matching their energy spectra. A brief overview of the history of non-central potentials will be provided, before setting up, solving, and matching the classical and quantum problems. The effect of the non-central potentials on the typical hydrogen atom’s quantum numbers will also be explored. This talk is part of the Theoretical Physics Journal Club and Group Meeting series.
