If you have a question about this talk, please contact Prof Ian Kenyon. The study of the electric dipole and magnetic dipole properties of fundamental particles opens a window to energy scales beyond that currently achievable at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN . As well as summarizing the current state of the art we introduce the frozen spin/ magic” momentum techniques that will be used by a new generation of experiments. These new measurements promise to push the studies to many orders of magnitude greater sensitivity than currently possible. We discuss what this means in terms of our understanding of basic physics.
