If you have a question about this talk, please contact Prof Ian Kenyon. In the Standard Model the Higgs boson is predicted to decay to a pair of b-quarks most of the time(58%). Probing this decay is important to furthering our understanding of the Higgs sector, but its observation at hadron colliders is complicated by large Standard Model backgrounds. In this seminar, a search for the Higgs to bb decay, looking at the associated production of the Higgs boson with a W or Z boson, is presented using 36 fb-1 of 13 TeV LHC Run 2 data. A brief review on using the same final state to search for non-Standard Model Higgs bosons will also be given. This talk is part of the Particle Physics Seminars series.
