A Group has been set up to undertake a “Review of Research Support”, under the Chairmanship of Emeritus Professor Les Clark, to develop the previous work undertaken by the Group chaired by Prof John Heath. The Terms of Reference include “Arrive at a recommended management organisation structure and process in support of research funding.”

Before proposing “a recommended management, organisation structure and process in support of research funding”, the Group would like to ascertain from the academic community what parts of the current process are perceived to work well and those which act as “pinch points” and impede the process. It was suggested that the best way to do this would be through a focus group in each College consisting of a mix of experienced, successful researchers and inexperienced researchers who are still finding their way through the system.

This research tea discussion will form a part of that information gathering process.

This talk is part of the EPS - College Research Teas series.
