School Seminar hosted by Prof. Jon Preece

The talk will take a broad look at the role of heme iron in biology, including oxygen activation and catalysis, and how the application of a range of methodologies – kinetics, numerous spectroscopies (including single crystal spectroscopy), and X-ray and neutron crystallography – can be brought to bear on various catalytic heme enzyme systems. Looking to the future, the talk will explore new roles for heme in biology.

This talk is part of the School of Chemistry Seminars series.
