This talk presents a systematic analysis of symmetric encryption modes for SSH that are in use on the Internet, providing deployment statistics, new attacks, and security proofs for widely used modes. Joint work with Martin Albrecht, Jean Paul Degabriele and Torben Brandt Hansen.
