Quantifying fish by parametric sonar

Of general interest to undergraduates, postgraduates and researchers interested in sensors, the ocean and signal processing. All welcome.

The nonlinearly generated difference-frequency band of a parametric sonar is being used to observe echoes from Atlantic herring. Some early observations are presented, and the process of rendering these quantitatively is described.
