The talk will discuss the needs for nuclear technology in space applications, the history of developments, the challenges of applying the technology, and the role the UK may provide for future space missions. Tim will talk on the work being carried out at NNL , and other organisations, on behalf of ESA to develop Am-241 based space batteries.
