However, many state-of-the-art machine learning techniques fail to work well on mobile devices because they are not aware of characteristics of mobile devices and applications, e.g., limited computation power/storage, auxiliary features from multiple sensors etc. This talk will majorly focus on two learning approaches for handling multi-modal data and real time visual objects contour tracking in mobile environments or on mobile devices. In particular, a novel multi-modal learning approach proposed for identification and a new type of contour tracking approach, which is suitable for security video conferencing on mobile phones, will be introduced in the talk.
